Overview

HTML to Liquid Converter is a browser-based tool for generating Shopify section code from HTML, operated by K2 Devworks. We aim to collect as little personal information as possible and to be transparent about optional features, analytics, and advertising.

Information we collect

• Content you paste into the converter while you use the site
• Basic usage analytics when you accept cookies (page views, feature clicks, search queries)
• Contact form submissions (name, email, message) when you reach out
• Account information if you create an account (email, profile name)

Local storage

Session data, conversion history, and crash snapshots may be stored in your browser's local storage on your device. We do not upload this data to our servers unless you explicitly use a feature that sends data (such as AI conversion, account sync, or the contact form).

Cookie usage

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality, optional analytics, and optional advertising. Types of cookies that may be used:

• Essential cookies — required for authentication, session management, and core site features when you sign in.
• Analytics cookies — loaded only if you accept cookies in our consent banner, to understand how developers use the tool via Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity.
• Advertising cookies — loaded only if you accept cookies, when Google AdSense serves and measures ads.

Cookie consent

On your first visit, we show a cookie consent banner with Accept and Reject options. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage so we do not ask again on every visit. Essential cookies for sign-in and core site features are not blocked by this choice. Rejecting cookies prevents Google AdSense, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity from loading.

Google AdSense and third-party advertising

If you accept cookies, Google and its partners may use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites on the Internet. AdSense may collect device identifiers, IP address, browser type, and ad interaction data. If you reject cookies, the AdSense script is not loaded.

This helps us understand which tools and guides developers use most and improve the product. Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_*.

Microsoft Clarity

If you accept cookies, we use Microsoft Clarity to record anonymized session data — such as clicks, scrolls, and page interactions — to improve usability and identify friction in the converter workflow. Clarity may set cookies such as _clck and _clsk. Clarity does not collect passwords, payment card numbers, or other sensitive data you type into forms.

Data collection for analytics

Analytics data is collected in aggregate to understand product usage patterns. We do not sell personal information. Analytics providers may process IP addresses and device identifiers according to their own privacy policies. Feature click tracking (such as converter exports and template loads) helps us prioritize improvements — this data is not used to identify individual users unless you are signed in to an account.

Browser cookie control

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block third-party cookies, block all cookies, or delete cookies when you close the browser. Blocking analytics or advertising cookies should not prevent core converter functionality, but optional features and ad display may behave differently.

Other third-party services

We may also use hosting providers, optional Google Gemini for AI conversion when configured, email delivery for contact forms, and authentication providers. Each service has its own privacy policy and data handling practices.

Your choices

You can accept or reject optional cookies in our consent banner on first visit. You can clear local storage in your browser to reset that choice and see the banner again. You can also block analytics and advertising cookies in browser settings, and avoid pasting sensitive or proprietary data into the converter. You may use the core converter without creating an account.

Data retention

Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to respond. Account data is retained while your account is active. Analytics data retention follows the policies of Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity.
